Chinese Herbal Medicine
Restoring Harmony Through Nature’s Wisdom
With over 12 years of experience in Chinese herbal medicine, I offer personalized herbal prescriptions to support your healing process—either as a standalone service or in conjunction with acupuncture or medical qigong.
Chinese herbal medicine is one of the most substantive modalities I use. Like food, herbs nourish the body, support the organ systems, and restore inner harmony. When taken consistently over time—typically four weeks or more—they help the body recover its natural rhythm and vitality.
What to Expect
Each herbal session begins with a thorough Chinese medicine diagnosis. I assess the tongue, pulse, and energetic patterns of the body, often incorporating medical qigong palpation to feel how the qi is moving through your system. This allows me to develop a treatment strategy that meets you where you are—physically, emotionally, and energetically.
Depending on your needs, I may recommend herbs in:
Tablet form for convenience
Granule powders for stronger effect and greater flexibility in formula customization
Common Conditions Treated
Fatigue and chronic illness
Men’s and women’s health concerns (including menopause symptoms and hormonal imbalance)
Anxiety, depression, and emotional dysregulation
Sleep issues and nervous system imbalances
Digestive problems and appetite issues
Support during acute illness or recovery
Herbal Support is Available In-Person or Remotely
Whether you come to my clinic or work with me remotely, you’ll receive a customized herbal protocol and guidance on how to take the herbs consistently and meaningfully.
Chinese Herbal medicine has been practiced for thousands of years and is a highly refined and comprehensive system of healing. Using herbs in combination, tailored to your individual needs, treatment will focus on both the root cause of disease and the symptom.
Every herb is associated with an organ system, taste and temperature. Each herb also has its own particular functions. Each formula is based on a multi-layed treatment plan aimed at the root and branch of disharmony. The appropriate herbs and formulas are chosen by assessing the meridians, organs, body substances and constitution through the use of traditional Chinese medical diagnostic skills which include: Palpating the meridian channels, palpating the radial pulse, analysis of the tongue, deep listening, and observation.
